Our Home

With a total of 38 bedrooms, Hope House for those who require general nursing care.

The home has 2 floors, with a lift and with plentiful visitor parking available in the private car park to the side of the building. Our beautiful landscaped patio garden is a real stand out feature and is fully accessible.

Offering a comfortable environment with tastefully decorated en-suite rooms, we very much encourage our residents to personalise their own bedrooms with their own special items, to ensure that it feel ‘just like home’.

Hope House has a conservatory which residents use as a quiet lounge, two comfortable TV lounges – one on the ground floor and the other on the first floor plus, a spacious ground floor dining room.

Our home is a beautifully converted Victorian villa, ideally located for those who like to be ‘out and about’ between Lord Street and Hesketh Park. The rooms have beautiful high ceilings and with the home decorated to a very high standard, our residents feel very comfortable and ‘right at home’.

Maple Lodge

Maple Lodge cares for those requiring residential care, living with dementia. Our friendly, well trained team provide a professional level of care in a comfortable and relaxing environment and ensure that independence, privacy and dignity is maintained for all residents in our care.

Very involved and known to its local community, residents are, in the main, local people who appreciate remaining close to family and friends.

Very conveniently, the accommodation at Maple Lodge is all on one floor, this is a home with space. Bright and open corridors as well as large lounges with dining areas and a small quiet lounge, ensures residents can move around the home freely and safely, stopping along the way to chat and look out at the gardens.

Although all bedrooms are well decorated and fully furnished, we encourage our residents to personalise their own bedrooms with their special items, to ensure it feels ‘just like home’. The 45 bedrooms have views of gardens and the front of the home which is perfect for those who like to see people coming and going. Ensuites are not standard in this home but there are many well decorated bathrooms for residents to access.

Its useful also to note that there is a private off road car park for visiting family and friends.

Garden Lodge

Garden Lodge is a friendly, happy place where residents live in a home where kindness and compassion combine, to offer the very best of residential care. There are always people to chat to and something to join in with, here to support 48 people living with dementia, this is a home where the feeling of ‘family’ is very strong.

Our home is purpose built for care, with well decorated single bedrooms. We very much encourage our residents, with their families, to personalise their own rooms, in whatever way they wish, to ensure that it feels ‘just like home’.

The comfortable lounges, dining rooms and bedrooms all benefit from being on the ground floor and totally accessible, with easy access to our safe and secure courtyard gardens. Our residents also enjoy the use of a hairdressing salon and access to a smoking room, should it be required.

Situated in the quiet, residential area of Netherley, Liverpool, we are close to a local supermarket, post office and large park. There is also the convenience of a direct bus route going to the centre of Liverpool.

Garden Lodge is a very popular home locally. Most people who require our care come and make their home with us but, some come to enjoy a shorter respite stay. Marsh House Care Home

Marsh House is a ‘hidden gem’ of a care home. Tucked away down a country lane, this home offers comfortable living with views of open countryside or our beautiful private garden.

Accommodating 33 residents, we offer residential care with support for those who are finding that their memory is becoming more of an issue in their daily lives.

Our home is characterful, having begun life as a farmhouse, but the home has been well configured and is deceptively spacious. The dining room is a large bright space, with ample additional seating for day time use as a garden room. There are 2 other small lounges, conservatory and hairdressers.

There are various styles and sizes of private bedrooms to choose from, but all we well decorated and furnished. We very much encourage our residents to personalise their own rooms with their own special items, to ensure that it feel ‘just like home’.

Activities are a real focus of the home and our activity coordinator is tasked with ensuring that residents are able to have fun, busy and enjoyable days, either with each other or as a group. Keeping on top of what everyone enjoys to do and what they would like to try, is pivotal to the success of the role.

Of course our Chef, has a real interest in ensuring everyone eats well and enjoys every aspect of hospitality on offer. No one goes hungry at Marsh House!

Dovehaven Lodge is a purpose built home, well designed into four smaller ‘houses’ with dedicated teams providing excellent standards of care and support. Caring team members create that extra special ‘family’ atmosphere at Dovehaven Lodge, whether it be in a house offering nursing care, residential dementia care, dementia nursing care or specialist dementia care.

All houses, offer ground floor accommodation, with dining rooms always set as they should be to enjoy every mealtime. Offering easily accessible living spaces and sitting rooms, the design of the homes makes it easy to enjoy organised social events and for residents to pursue their hobbies and interests. Our landscaped gardens and patios are perfect places to spend time with friends and family.

Residents are invited to decorate their bright, well planned, comfortable, private bedrooms with small items of their own treasured belongings, so that it feels just like home.

Dovehaven Lodge provide care for the following; general nursing care, residential dementia care, dementia nursing care and a specialist male only dementia care service.

All of our residents, irrespective of which of our houses they reside in, receive 24 hour specialist care from a team of qualified carers. Those who are receiving nursing care have, in addition, the attention of experienced qualified nurses.

Kind, caring and professional, whatever the care need of our residents, we make all efforts to improve the quality of their lives. We understand that every resident is unique with individual care requirements. Our approach to care is based on the use of personalised care plans. Care plans include all health and medical information. With the help of our residents and their families, we ensure that we identify all personal preferences and requests. These bespoke care plans ensure we maximise choice, independence and the comfort of all of our residents

We offer full nursing care for people with specific requirements; PEG- feeding, palliative, physical disabilities as well as end of life care. Our teams work very closely with other external healthcare professionals, to ensure that the broadest range of expertise is available to support all care needs.

Dovehaven Grove Care Home

Dovehaven Grove opened its doors as part of the Dovehaven family in May 2020. Before which the home underwent a complete refurbishment, to ensure it was brought right up to date with all amenities and decorated to the standard to which our residents and their families would wish.

Dovehaven Grove provides residential care for 55 residents. Our beautifully appointed top floor is available for those who require residential care and lower floors care for those residents living with dementia who require residential care.

Located in Bamber Bridge, the home is situated next to scenic Withy Grove Park. Although the home is at the end of an impressive driveway, it is very easily accessible to local shops, GP surgeries, cafes and bars. Residents and their families enjoy having such amenities at hand, so that they can enjoy time out and about in the local community, when possible.

Preston, Chorley and Leyland are on the doorstep and very easily accessible from the main motorway network.

We enjoy some beautifully appointed dining rooms, lounges and other communal areas. Our library is certainly a popular place for residents to visit, as is our beauty salon, which is very well appointed. On every floor residents have places to socialise, dine and participate in activities together or continue personal hobbies.

All bedrooms are large, ensuite and beautifully decorated. We very much encourage our residents to personalise their own bedrooms, bringing items and belongings, to ensure that their rooms feel ‘just like home’.

Our Home Manager Ian Taylor is passionate about the standard of care delivered to our ‘family’ of residents. All team members are encouraged to participate in the daily life of the home, sharing it with all our residents in order to create a ‘homely’ atmosphere.

Our well trained care team provide professional, but friendly personal care and memory care, which is tailor made to reflect a residents care needs and choices.

All team members are trained in person-centred care. All possesses the necessary skills, experience, training and qualities to ensure that the delivery of care for those living with dementia, is kind and appropriate for them. The ability to make a resident feel at ease is an essential skill which all of our care team possess.

The Brunswick

The Brunswick is not like other care homes, it was designed and built during Southport’s Victorian heyday when the grandeur of buildings in the town of Southport knew no bounds. Buildings had large rooms with high ceilings and were finished to standards rarely seen today. This is a home where no expense has been spared, in that regard.

First class residential care and service are as standard at The Brunswick. Every need is accommodated and should there be other requirements, above and beyond, our team will only be too pleased to assist.

Residents are able to be as independent as they wish. Ideally located close to shops, cafes bars and restaurants our residents enjoy quick, easy level access to Lord Street. Car parking is also available at the front of the home for residents and visitors alike.

The home is entered via a large reception hallway where a beautiful sweeping staircase is reminiscent of The Brunswick’s days as a hotel. There is a large lift to all floors. The library has beautifully comfortable chairs, picture windows onto Lord Street and a piano. Often utilised as a cinema room this is the first of two reception rooms.

The dining room connects both lounges. Open, full of light and with a choice of tables, this large high ceiling room is a very pleasant place to sit and enjoy the Brunswicks menu, for breakfast, lunch or dinner or just for a coffee or a snack.

The furthest lounge has space and plenty of seating, with a tv corner for those who wish to view. Again, windows out onto Lord Street, this is another comfortable place to spend time and socialise with other.

Offering either single or double occupancy, resident suites at the Brunswick are equally impressive. Their proportions ensure that, should it be required, couples can be accommodated together, with ease, in large double rooms, either with double or twin beds. Couples who come to live at The Brunswick together are able to take advantage of advantageous weekly rates, please enquire and we will be very happy to assist.

The fabulous interior design of all rooms has been carefully considered and all reflect the comfortable style of the home. We do have a courtyard garden so that residents might enjoy fresh air and sunshine, as the weather allows.

Our style of residential care at The Brunswick is discrete and totally supportive of resident independence, dignity and choices.

Should our residents require it, our team of qualified carers are available to assist 24 hours a day. There are call bells in every resident suites and bathrooms. Kind, caring and professional, we make all efforts to support and improve the quality of life for our residents by providing first class residential care. We also work closely with families and loved ones, involving them whenever possible to assist with the writing of bespoke care plans to ensure that all care needs are noted and known and all personal preferences are communicated to all teams within the home.

The home is especially attractive to couples, who can be sure that their life together can remain as it always has, once moved to The Brunswick, routines can continue, and most importantly independence and all personal choices will remain a priority.

An activity coordinator is dedicated to designing and delivering an entertainment programme full of varied and interesting pastimes. Residents can enjoy a wide range of group activities and are supported to continue their own hobbies or take up new interests. Many events are organised which involve special meals and other hospitality events.

All Dovehaven care homes use ‘Oomph! On Demand’ to support resident exercise, hobbies and personal interests.

Led by Kelly Mortimer, a Home Manager with a passion for excellent standards of resident care and hospitality, the team at The Brunswick deliver the best of care and service. There to meet every resident need, they are a team who have all of the skills and personal qualities required to keep our residents happy.

The Chef leads the kitchen team and desires to deliver the very best menu to meet our residents expectations, ensuring our residents receive their meals which are seasonal and beautifully cooked.

The whole team at The Brunswick are dedicated to ensuring that the home delivers care of an excellent standard and that all of the residents wishes and needs are met.

Dovehaven have a robust induction and ongoing training for all team members to ensure that they have all of the skills and knowledge they need to provide expert nursing and personal care, with confidence. All staff are trained in dementia awareness and person-centred care.

Of course, our Home Manager and our Deputy Manager are always on hand to give support and advice to team members and family members alike.
