With a total of 59 bedrooms, Avonleigh Gardens is a home for those who require residential or dementia care in Oldham.

The home has 2 floors, with a lift for easy access. The home has a private visitor car park, and further parking is available on the roads near to the home. Our beautiful landscaped patio garden is a key feature and is fully accessible for residents.

Offering a comfortable environment with tastefully decorated en-suite rooms, we very much encourage our residents to personalise their own bedrooms with their own special items, to ensure that it feel just like home.

Avonleigh Gardens has many cosy lounges and TV rooms, offering residents the choice of where they wish to spend their time. Dining rooms can also be found across both floors.

Avonleigh Gardens is recognised throughout Oldham for delivering excellent person-centred care to all our residents.

Everyone at Avonleigh Gardens is respected as an individual and therefore we understand that everyone’s needs, and preferences are different.

Through a personalised care plan, we gather details and information from those who know the resident best. We know that the finer details are important, and we ensure all preferences and personal wished are recorded to reflect the needs and wants of the resident. We also hold frequent communications with families to ensure these care plans stay up to date.

Our care teams work very closely with other external healthcare professionals, to ensure that the broadest range of expertise is available to support all care needs.

The respite care we provide is ideal for those requiring dementia care following discharge from hospital or who might alternatively receive care in their own home. We are very happy to discuss your requirements for a respite stay, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Residents choose how they wish to spend their days, however, residents are encouraged to have fun and socialise. There are daily, varied and enjoyable activities, making every day different and supporting our residents well-being and all residents are welcome to join in with our resident programme of activities or be supported to enjoy pastimes of their own choice.

Of course, we celebrate birthdays as well as other special days in the year, aside from coffee mornings, afternoon tea and active, planned social activity sessions. Resident’s friends and family members are welcome at any time and are welcome to join in the activities of the home.

Our Home Manager Rachel Bowers, leads Avonleigh Gardens and ensures their commitment to excellent person-centred care. The health, well-being and happiness of our ‘family’ of residents, is always our number one priority.

Our team of experienced and qualified carers and senior carers are committed to ensuring residents receive the highest standard of bespoke care, 24 hours a day. Working together with the house keeping team and kitchen teams, who are well trained and highly skilled, residents can be assured of excellent care standards and comfortable living.

Avonleigh Gardens has a dedicated Activity Coordinator who offers one to one time for those residents who prefer to spend time in their rooms or are unable to join with others in the lounge.

Dovehaven have robust induction and ongoing training for all team members, to ensure that they have all skills and knowledge they need to provide expert care to those living with dementia.

Our Head Chef prepares three nutritious meals a day and the menu changes regularly to reflect seasonal produce.

Food is a big part of everyday life at Avonleigh, from the cooked breakfast that we offer, to the choice of meals at lunchtime and a teatime, with the snacks in between and supper.

Our meal service is offered in our dining rooms with menu choices offered at the table. Meals can also be served in a bedroom or lounge, wherever our residents choose to eat

At Avonleigh Gardens, we pride ourselves on ensuring that our menu choices are available, in the most appropriate palatable way, for all care needs. Our meal choices are sure to tempt even the smallest appetite, to be sure nutritional needs can be met for every resident.

Avonleigh Gardens is able to care for those requiring residential care or dementia care.

For those residents funding their own weekly fees the fee rates are from £844 – £929 per week for Residential care.

For those residents funding their own weekly fees the fee rates are from £1,013 – £1,078 per week for Residential Dementia care.
