Welcome to The Brunswick

The Brunswick is not like other care homes, it was designed and built during Southport’s Victorian heyday when the grandeur of buildings in the town of Southport knew no bounds. Buildings had large rooms with high ceilings and were finished to standards rarely seen today. This is a home where no expense has been spared, in that regard.

First class residential care and service are as standard at The Brunswick. Every need is accommodated and should there be other requirements, above and beyond, our team will only be too pleased to assist.

Residents are able to be as independent as they wish. Ideally located close to shops, cafes bars and restaurants our residents enjoy quick, easy level access to Lord Street. Car parking is also available at the front of the home for residents and visitors alike.

The home is entered via a large reception hallway where a beautiful sweeping staircase is reminiscent of The Brunswick's days as a hotel. There is a large lift to all floors. The library has beautifully comfortable chairs, picture windows onto Lord Street and a piano. Often utilised as a cinema room this is the first of two reception rooms.

The dining room connects both lounges. Open, full of light and with a choice of tables, this large high ceiling room is a very pleasant place to sit and enjoy the Brunswicks menu, for breakfast, lunch or dinner or just for a coffee or a snack.

The furthest lounge has space and plenty of seating, with a tv corner for those who wish to view. Again, windows out onto Lord Street, this is another comfortable place to spend time and socialise with other.

Offering either single or double occupancy, resident suites at the Brunswick are equally impressive. Their proportions ensure that, should it be required, couples can be accommodated together, with ease, in large double rooms, either with double or twin beds. Couples who come to live at The Brunswick together are able to take advantage of advantageous weekly rates, please enquire and we will be very happy to assist.

What people say

My mother has been a resident since 2nd August 2020 and has received excellent care from staff in her short time. Always been able to receive updates on mother’s condition and well-being in her time as a resident.

Garry N (Son of Resident)

Very friendly team and staff. Caring and a credit to the care sector. They cannot do enough for my father. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Brunswick.

Janice T (Daughter of Resident)

I am so pleased and relieved that my Uncle has settled so well into The Brunswick. He has a lovely room where he can watch tv and do his jigsaws and crosswords quietly. He also thoroughly enjoys all his meals especially his breakfasts! It is also lovely to have the Pod where we can see him in these difficult times. Staff often go out of their way to ensure he is ok and it gives me a lot of relief and peace of mind that he is being so well cared for and looked after. Thank you to all the staff who work so hard.

Nicola L (Niece of Resident)

Always been received with warmth and understanding over the past 18 months. Very satisfied with my brother’s care. All precautions were taken on this visit – nothing was too much trouble.
