As a family-owned group of care homes across the North West, Dovehaven is committed to providing welcoming and supportive environments where residents can feel at home. The transformation of Westcliffe Manor reflects this commitment, bringing a beautifully renovated residential care home to the heart of Birkdale.

A Residential Care Home in Birkdale

Located on Westcliffe Road, Westcliffe Manor has undergone an extensive renovation of its Victorian villa, creating a modern, stylish and welcoming setting for residential care.

With accommodation for up to 29 residents, the home offers a smaller, more personal approach to care, combining the character of its Victorian surroundings with contemporary interiors and carefully considered details.

The newly renovated home features a stylish dining area, comfortable communal lounge, spacious garden, and its own hairdressing and nail salon, providing inviting spaces for residents to relax, socialise and enjoy everyday life.

The open day gave visitors the opportunity to explore the home, take a guided tour, meet the team and discover what makes Westcliffe Manor a unique residential care home in Birkdale.

Celebrating the Opening with Afternoon Tea

Guests enjoyed a traditional afternoon tea, with fresh cakes, scones, sandwiches, hot drinks and chilled refreshments served throughout the event.

The home officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Westcliffe Manor Home Manager Susan Rigg, Dovehaven CEO Jenny Davies and the Mayor of Sefton, Councillor Jennifer Corcoran.

Jenny Davies, CEO of Dovehaven Care Homes, said: "We're delighted to be bringing Westcliffe Manor into the Birkdale community. We wanted to create something really special, with the feel of a boutique hotel but a warmth and personal touch. It's wonderful to see the transformation come to life, and we're looking forward to welcoming residents to enjoy everything that Westcliffe Manor has to offer."
