Dovehaven Care Homes Named Finalists in Three Categories at Stars of Social Care Team Awards 2026

Dovehaven Care Homes, a leading family-owned care provider in the North West, has been named a finalist in three categories at the inaugural Stars of Social Care Team Awards 2026.

This recognition celebrates the dedication, compassion and teamwork across Dovehaven’s care homes and support services, and reflects the organisation’s ongoing commitment to delivering truly person-centred care.

Brooklands Care Home has been shortlisted for the Dementia Care Team Award, recognising the team’s specialist expertise and compassionate approach to supporting people living with dementia. Their focus on understanding each resident as an individual, alongside their clinical knowledge, continues to make a meaningful difference to daily life within the home.

Manchester House Care Home has been named a finalist in the Rising Stars Team Award category, highlighting a team that continues to grow, support one another and bring energy, warmth and positivity into the home every day. Their passion for creating a vibrant and supportive environment for residents and colleagues alike has made them a team to watch.

Dovehaven’s Support Services team has also been shortlisted for the Head Office Heroes Award, recognising the vital role they play behind the scenes. Their work supports homes across the North West to deliver safe, effective and high-quality care, ensuring teams feel equipped, connected and supported.

The Stars of Social Care Team Awards celebrate excellence across the UK care sector, shining a light on the individuals and teams who make a real difference every single day.

The inaugural event will be hosted by ITV This Morning’s Josie Gibson and will take place at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester on Friday 8th May 2026.

Josie Gibson said: “A massive congratulations to all of our finalists. You are the heart and soul of social care.”
David, from Brooklands Care Home, said:
“To be recognised in this category means a huge amount to all of us. Dementia care isn’t just about understanding the condition, it’s about understanding the person, their story, and what matters most to them. I’m incredibly proud of the team here at Brooklands – their compassion, patience and commitment to getting it right every single day is what makes this possible.”
Rachel, from Manchester House Care Home, added:
“I honestly couldn’t be prouder of this team. Manchester House is full of big personalities, big hearts and people who genuinely love what they do – and I think you can feel that the moment you walk through the door. We don’t just care for people, we build a home around them, and this recognition just means the world to us.”

As a trusted care provider in the North West, Dovehaven continues to invest in its people, its homes and the quality of care delivered to residents and families across the region.
