We are looking for Care Assistants (Days or Nights available) to join our teams in some of Liverpool's most well respected care homes. In this role, you will be offering full person-centred care and support to our residents to ensure they feel safe, secure and content.

About the role

As a care assistant, you will work together with other staff in the running of the home. You will aim to maintain high standards of care and service towards service users, relatives, visitors and other members of staff. You will be providing a range of personal and practical care to our residents.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to caring for older people, either through previous roles in social care or in other roles.
  • Self-motivated, resilient and well-organised.
  • Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the Home.

Dovehaven is a proud champion of person-centred care. As a Care Assistant, you will assist with maintaining accurate digital records for each resident, whilst respecting their dignity and privacy. Working closely with other members of the team, the residents and their families, you will be help deliver tailored care that is appropriate for each individual.

The Ideal Candidate

For this role, we are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering first-class care. The ideal candidate will be patient, kind and understanding of individuals and their unique needs. As we care for a wide range of individuals, with a wide range of complex care needs, the perfect applicant will be someone who is reliable and respectful, with strong interpersonal skills.

Our care teams are supportive and dedicated to delivering the very best care to our residents. For this role, we are looking for someone who is a team player, and who is able to use their initiative to support their other colleagues and our residents.

No qualifications are required, but there is an increased rate of pay should you want to develop your career and progress to Senior level and gain an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification. Experience within the care sector is preferred but not essential.
